Press Reviews
He’s a wildly accomplished blues-pop-jazz performer with a soulful intensity and movie-star sex appeal... Steven takes risks and lands on his feet every time... I can’t imagine who his idols are because he sounds completely original. - Rex Reed, New York Observer"The rhythmic sparkle of good jazz and the euphoria of R&B come together in Steven Santoro's voice. Strong and sexy, it can glide, skitter, pant, and wail with no faking and no strain. This is music for a neglected generation of grown-up pop fans, to whom melody and stories matter.” - James Gavin (Natl. Media Music Journalist and Author) "Steven Santoro radiates an appealing sense of joy!" - chip Deffaa, New York Post "Steven's music is uncontrivedly hip, combining the improvisational and rhythmic flexibility of jazz with the emotional appeal of pop. He could be big." - Chris Parker, London Times "This high energy Tyrone Power in a worshirt is knocking out audiences and winning high praise." - Andrew Velez, Time Out New York |
