Artist History
Sharon Brooks has been performing from the age of sixteen, touring with popular Caribbean bands. In 1998, Sharon moved to Canada, and embarked on her voyage as a soloist. She began touring with a local cover band"Motor City" and while in Beijing China, began writing the songs for her album."Raindrops" was the first to emerge from the pages of her "song-book". Upon returning to Canada in April of 1999, Sharon and husband Daniel decided it was the right time to record. They sought out the best, and were pointed in the direction of a young and amazingly talented musician named Andrew Craig. Andrew saw the dream and wanted to be a part of it. He agreed to produce the album.Months of arranging, re-arranging, changing and hours on non-sleep for Andrew resulted in the recording, mixing and mastering of the album in approximately five months. In Spetember of 2000, Sharon Brooks released "A Taste of Life" and the battle to make it as an independent artist began. |
