Artist description
There it is; intensity, passion and integrity flow through his songs, like breath through the lungs, and make them live. Hearing the CD is like having a conversation with Richie, where you don't talk much, but you listen, you listen. The songs relate to various qualities, but they all share one central theme; we're alive. And that joins us somehow; 'Take me to the place where borders fade, For blood is red in everyone...' |

Artist History
I began my musical experience in pubs around Western Australia at the age of seventeen playing drums. I am still a working drummer and still play for various bands here in the west. At around the same time I developed some guitar skills by applying the rhythms that I felt on to the guitar and began writing songs before I was really knew what I was doing. I have written many songs since then and some of them have been well received by the industry in which I work. However Perth beeing the most isolated capital city in the world it had to take something like the internet for any of these songs to get out. The songs presented here on "Long Distance Dream" are some of my songs from recent years. I hope you enjoy them. Cheers... Richie |

Press Reviews
... Richie Pavledis has to be seen to be believed, combining incredible rhythms with a voice to die for...(Tone Zone magazine) ...Almost a part of the furniture around the local music scene, Richie Pavledis showcases, with the release of his debut album, just what a marvellous songwriter, musicians and singer he really is. Musically based on blues and folk sources, his choice of supporting musicians, combined with his own unique vocal and instrumental skills, bring an eclecticism to the album that serves as a reminder of just how powerful and poignant music can be when presented with some imagination and a willingness to express from the heart. Pavledis' richest resource is the natural earthy intonation of his voice which brings an instant warmth and friendliness to his songs of love, longing and reflection that immediately allows the listener to feel comfortably receptive to his muse. Pavledis still sounds as if he's enjoying himself after more than twenty years in the game and it's hard not to smile as you listen to his story unfold. An excellent release from a local treasure who deserves to be disinterred...(NOVA magazine) |
