Artist History
The Deep Inya and DJ Chocolate Jam project, reflects upon two friends, residing in the closed-minded, state of Arizona. A state that far too often accepts or turns a blind eye to hate crimes, prejudice and most obviously a homophobic disposition. These songs while juvenile to some listeners and repulsive to others, are the workings against all that is the fore-mentioned. Although you might find the songs are backwardly stereotypical in context to the goal, they still find a positive forward movement in awareness. Our hope is that the simple fact of the songs being played will change a blind eye, or a homophobic disposition, to acceptance. And for the gay community, we hope to lend humorous view towards the monotonous normality found in these stereotypes with comical verses and situations of the two main characters, Deep Inya, and DJ Chocolate Jam. We also hope to bring chuckles, laughter and a smile to your every day routines of “main stream” music. That said, here is the background for our characters…..Deep Inya, is your openly gay, modern day “Dennis the Mennis” of sorts, finding trouble and compromising situations in all he seems to do. DJ Chocolate Jam is teetering on the brink of homosexuality. These are the comical collections of their miss-adventures, fetishes, and sex experiences, all brought to you in the clever farce of the ever-taboo world of hip-hop/gangster-rap. Will DJ Chocolate Jam ever come out of the closet? I hope so. |
