Press Reviews
"ONE LIGHT" is a 12 song collection of intensely spiritual, uplifting and life affirming songs with intelligent lyrics, a message of hope, and joyous, heartfelt music from some very talented musicians helping realize this dream. It is a musical journey woven through a life time of one woman’s experiences with, and from the heart. A universal yet uniquely female perspective in song on our humanity, our light side and our dark side is illumined by the mind/body/soul connection theme that unites us all as beings of light. But most of all, it is a wonderful addition to any music lover’s CD collection because the multi style songs from the rockers to the ballads are all fabulous! Review: “Dinosaur’s Musical Day”Jeanine Michaels is a singer, songwriter, musician, mother, teacher, writer and an actress. "Dinosaur's Musical Day" is the title of her current release, which justhappens to be an album for children. So, why would I write about analbum like this? Well, let me be the first to explain. The first thing I noticed was the musical quality of this album. For achildren's CD, the musicians who perform on this are clearly well versedin their selected instruments. An amazing amount of professionalismshines bright for all to hear. There's fourteen songs on this album, each one a story all its own andeach with a message that will touch the heart of any child who hears it. The title song is a rocking tune about (what else?) dinosaurs. "Upside Down World" is a silly song where everything is something else. "Monkey Revolution" is about the earth (and the rain forest). One of the most touching songs on the album is "Test My Wings," which seems to tell the point of view of a little girl who wonders when it will be her turn to play. There's also the creepy tune, "Mrs. Johnson's Chihuahua," which tells the story of a piano lesson and a Chihuahua named Pepe Johnson. One of my favorites. Actually, I'm rather fond of the entire album. No kidding!"Dinosaur's Musical Day" is a children's album with variety. Not just inthe music. But, in the overall way it's presented. There's songs thatare more for the boys, songs that are more for the girls and, songs thatseem directed at both boys & girls. On top of all that, this is an albumthat talks to children instead of talking down to them. It entertainsthem and gives them something to think about (in a very positive way). This is a fun filled release that I can't praise enough! This is a "musthave" CD for that special child in your life. And, to give a child thegift of music is probably the best thing you could ever do! There is an added dimension for those special people in 12 step programs and on the road to recovery of all kinds with the connection each song has to each of the 12 steps, including the hit song, “Way To The One”. Jeanine gratefully acknowledges the Higher Power and communion of spirit making serenity possible for us. |
