Artist History
Recently returned from spending 10 months exploring the far reaches of our planet, Brandon Dove is back in Toronto ready to bring his take on techno and house music to the world. Fresh with ideas after having spent time studying musical traditions in South East Asia, Nepal, and India, Brandon is poised to move dance floors and open minds.
No stranger to the musical world, Brandon began studying classical organ at the age of 5. After 10 years of practice and theory and a move to high school, Brandon soon found himself playing both trombone and drums in his school jazz band as well as a number of other ensembles. Later, while pursuing a degree in computer science at The University of Waterloo, Brandon started focusing on the electronic music he heard at local clubs and on campus radio shows -- thus began his obsession with electronic music.
Taking lessons from early influences Brandon is never afraid to mix ideas and elements from the most wildly unrelated genres, creating extra depth and feeling in all he does. This feeling coupled with a highly developed musical sensibility has laid the groundwork for a growing catalog of innovative production work spanning genres from deep house to techno and everything in between. |
