Artist History
Steve Bjork, president of Dayspring Music Productions, conceived Adonai. From his days at Multnomah Bible College and a Pentecostal upbringing, Bjork has always possesed a knack for writing praise and worship songs.Four of the group members were assembled from Bjork's home church, Rockwood Church of God in Gresham, Oregon. The fifth and sixth members joined as a result of ads Bjork put out all over the Portland Metro area.In July 2000, the group was completed. The six remained together until November, when their alto left the group. After eight months of planning and practicing, Adonai had their first concert, to a full house in Clackamas, Ore. The group hopes to continue their music ministry throughout the Northwest, and perhaps one day, to the whole country. |
