Artist History Syntetika is an electronic group from St.Petersbourg, Russia. There is two members of our team, it's Elena and Vladislav Tyulandins. Syntetika was found in 1997 year. Lena has professional music education in pianoforte class and started compose melodies from 7years old. From 1992 she started to hear electronic music such composers like Klaus Schulze, Vangelis... Radio program "Back to the Universe" from Radio Rocks made by Vladimir Tuz, Martin Landers, causes big influence on her. Even It doesn't matter the names of composers and groups, everything from that program reflected Lena's attitude to electronic music.In 1995 she met Oleg Korovin aka"Silent Generator". He wrote in easy dance style... Lena contributed to creation one track with him. Then in 1996 she met Dmitry Ageev. Together with him Lena started to learn many new things around world of creation electronic music, synths, hardware, software and much more... everything was madly interesting. Vladislav was interested in rock music and started to visit rock parties at 1995. Many rock groups, private parties, a lot of meetings. Then it was creation of "Nora" club by "Dva samolyota" group and his interests was switched to club dance music. In that time Vladislav started to play vynil. He played his disks in many clubs of St.Petersburg (Nora,Tunnel, Transformator and many more clubs in SPb). He had participation in some radio programs on Radio Baltika and Radio Port FM. In 1997 Vladislav and Lena met each other and started improvisation in electronic sound like team. In 1997 december we released our first MC track "Lands" on PERFORATION compilation by Perforated records (part of Manchester files lable). In accordance that event we have had our first live on presentation this compilation in PORT club. Then was a lot of work in home based studio. We released some our tracks from 1997 to 2001 in different compilations. Our last action was on festival of electronic music Free Fly #4 at 2001august. We are interesting not only electronic music, and like many music styles also, such like jazz, classic music, some compositions of classic rock. Therefore Syntetika tries to make a really different compositions.

Albums 100% Syntetika

Press Reviews Ambidextrous' "Errorism", on the Moscow based Shaped Harmonics label, turned out to be one of my favorite releases of last year. So I was looking forward to hear the new release when it arrived. "100% Syntetika" is the debut album grown out of the collaboration between Elena and Vladislav Tyulyandin, respectively a musician and a dj, both from St-Petersburg (Russia). This album is like a friendly invitation to a place of warmth and security. Forget crunchy beats, distorted percussion, spastik melodies and say hello to gentle beats, harmonious melodies, dubby rhythms: for this music spreads an atmosphere of total tranquility. It reminds me a lot of the 1994-era ambient, think of projects like Global Communication or Higher Intelligence Agency. That doesn't mean you're in danger of getting the "We've heard all this before feeling", old and new elements were cleverly blended into solid compositions with attention to detail and diversity. After listening just a couple of times, it feels like a very mature ambient electronica of pure and modest beauty. Altough we're only February, there's a good chance it'll be one of my favorite releases for this year ... SayVegin feb2002
