Artist History
Mike first took guitar lessons when he was 11 years old, but then got side tracked with cub scouts and basketball. Then it wasn't until college that Mike got hooked on songwriting and has never stopped since. His love for country music first brought him to Nashville in 1989, and then for the next 5 years he would journey there a couple of times a year to write and sing. However, as this singer/songwriter's abilities grew, so did the demands of the industry for his time and talent. Mike has written with hit songwriters, as well as talented new writers, and has learned, "a great song can come from anywhere; it just depends when God wants to give it to you!" Mike has just finished his debut CD "FULL TANK OF LOVE" in Nashville and it's drawing great reviews. Mike says we let the "A" Team loose on these tracks - awesome musicians! Mike's having a blast living his dream and he loves the new fans who are enjoying his music. "I don't think I'll ever get over the great feeling when one of my songs touches someone's heart and they tell me about it; that's what the music is all about for me." Mike has performed at the famed "Bluebird Cafe" in Nashville, and other popular songwriter venues such as the "Broken Spoke and "Douglas Corner." He currently has 3 songs being recorded by other Artists on independent projects due for release in the summer of 2001, and his song "Pass It On" was recorded by Canadian Artist John Gracie and has been getting airplay over the last year in Canada. Mike has also been enjoying tremendous success on the MP3.com Country Charts since the release of his CD in March 2001. His song, "The Intimidator-Dale Earnhardt #3," has been in the Top 20 of the Overall Country Chart and in the Top 5 of the New Country chart consistently over the last 7 weeks. The same song is getting air play on some radio stations in Indiana and on Internet radio stations throughout the United States. "Mrs Someone Else" peaked at #3 on the MP3.com Western Swing Chart! Mike grew up in Petaluma, California and splits time between Nashville and Sonoma, CA where his family lives. His growing fan base can be found in both areas. |

Press Reviews
Nashville Music Guide - April 2001 Issue - Columnist Brad Fischer - Artist: Mike Lounibos - CD: Full Tank Of Love - Mike co-wrote all songs on the CD."A mix of slow love ballads and upbeat songs with just the right twang in Lounibos' voice. Bolstered by steel guitar and fiddle, the album is definately country with just the right amount of pathos in the lyrics...radio should definately give it a listen if only to discover what country is all about. Melodies are all danceable and keep your feet a tappin'." |
