Artist History
Le Collage is the vision of trumpetess Meg Montgomery, who stayed in Trinidad for a period of two months during Carnival '95. The Carnival music explosion inspired her to write the first songs for Le Collage. Upon return to New York, she began jamming with the West African-fusion scene, at clubs in the East Village, and chose the members to record the first album, "Le Collage C'est Fou!!" from those hot smokey nights. Le Collage is performing in the New York metro area, and is in the process of recording it's second album, due out in the summer of 2001. |
