Artist description
Contrary to popular belief, music is not one-dimensional. G. Antonio redefines music into something similar to an experiment. The guitar sound varies from a crunchy distortion to the retro sounds found in seventies music. There are guitar samples put in specific places to give each song a different flavor. The low-end bass sound adds a funkadellic edge. Underneath the guitar and bass comes the intricate thumping of the drums stretching from electronic drum machines to actual acoustic drums. The catchy vocals complete the picture, to make the sound totally dynamic. The chemistry behind this instrumentation makes a loud explosive for those people looking for something new and unique to groove to. |

Artist History
H I S T O R Y “G. Antonio” originally started out as Geoff Antonio Hedgepeth, playing guitar at the age of thirteen (now twenty-three years old) in Virginia Beach, VA. His live experience includes performing in different regions of the East Coast. Hedgepeth won third place in Teddy Riley’s (producer for Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, Black Street) annual talent show in 1993, which he performed the rap song “Slam” by Onyx in his own rap/rock version, in front of celebrity judges which included Heavy D and MC Lyte. Afterwards Riley offered Hedgepeth a production deal. Though no contract was signed, Hedgepeth assembled a band named “Instinct” and went on to record with Pumpkin Head Records, a label owned by Trent Reznor partner Rich Bowler. Instinct released the CD “Much love...come get some” in the summer of 1996. The CD sold well and received solid airplay on the southeastern college circuit. After the bands break up in 1997, Hedgepeth formed the group Jack B. Nimble, based out of the Washington D.C. area. The group toured the regional college circuit, performing as an opening act for 7mary3 and Fighting Gravity. At the closing of the century Hedgepeth decided to focus on a solo career and take on the name “G. Antonio” |
