Artist History
Unjay's Electric Virgin project is a new branch of work for the founding member and songwriter for The Daisyheads (http://www.mp3.com/daisyheads).Via a purple iMac, the aim is to produce ambient, trancey sounds, with samples and original audio thrown in as well. The project began in December 2000, and the first completed piece, the manifesto, "Travel by Colours" was finished in February 2001. Watch this space for the rest of the outpouring. The next piece will most likely be a vocal track, Natural High. |

Press Reviews
Electric Virgin's first release, "Travel by Colour", is an ecstatic trance voyage. At 9:21, it is long, but well worth the ride! The song falls into two parts, ending the first section's machine music (harking back slightly to King Crimson with a mix of time signatures like 14/16) ending with a reverb fest; there is a brief interlude of whipping percussion until the second part takes the song to "a-whole-nother" level. Can't wait to see what else Electric Virgin has instore.-Ragged Press |
