Artist History
It was the one directive for which they hadn?t been trained. In their time together, they had never hesitated to execute an order from the Colonel, but this one was different:ABORT MISSION. AWAIT FURTHER ORDERS. - C.K.Their cover had been blown, and they were in danger. Like a black hole, they had not been observed directly, but their effects were impossible to ignore. Responsible Citizen, who knew no equal in hand-to-hand combat; Kelvmore McChumley, a one-man propaganda machine; Clacker John, M.D., the reconstructive surgeon behind the Colonel?s many faces; and Scowl, a genius with incendiary devices and counter-intelligence.After several months, they were ordered to regroup and set up H.O.M.E. in Berkeley, California. They were to establish new identities as members of a rock band. There was only one place left to hide these four men?the public eye. |

Press Reviews
SF Weekly
"The waters of musicianship run deep in this band, and the songwriting is superb. ...Get privy to the Colonel's Knowledge."
FM Sound
"Colonel Knowledge takes their obvious musical influences of rock, pop and jazz and blends them into a beautifully cohesive mixture of enjoyable music that is easy to listen to. In fact, with the thoughtfulness and intelligence behind the lyrics of their songs, listen is exactly what you want to do. ...Humor, intelligence and musical talent; too bad nobody else in mainstream music seems to recognize this as a winning combination."
Power of Pop
"Seriously, folks, there is considerable pop craftsmanship going on here. ...Jazz, pop, funk, rock melded together into a pleasing whole. Good music!" (A)-top rating
Privy Magazine
"It's alwas good to hear unique sounds coming of an album.... This band has such a variety of sounds; it's almost unreal. It's a good album and that's about it."
Music Dish
"Throwing these guys into a specific genre label is almost impossible. The musicianship and song structure of Colonel Knowledge is pretty much beyond description. ...No matter what you call it, it's pretty damn interesting to listen to.
The lyrics are great... People shouldn't have too hard a time relating to what is being said here. That's always the mark of a great band."
The Muse's Muse
"Colonel Knowledge is trying to find that balance between allowing themselves to create and allowing themselves to create some marketable music. It's a battle that many of us musicians find ourselves in. A battle that I see Colonel Knowledge coming out of as winners; with a vibrant and effective catalog of songs. ...A great debut from a band we certainly will here more from. Congratulations."
