Benson Reid - Artist History - With twenty years in the music business Benson Reid has performed in many types of musical situations, from Symphony Orchestras to Pop and Jazz bands.A vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Benson studied music at York University in Toronto, Canada. He is equally at home playing guitar or flute, and is frequently featured as a vocalist in Toronto area bands along with some of the finest musicians in the city.As a session singer Benson’s voice has been heard on CBC Television, Fox Television Network (U.S.), Treehouse Network, and Teletoon Network (U.S.). Benson also sang the theme song for the animated feature film “Ali Baba and the Thieves” (Canadian/ Italian co-production).Benson’s first release as a songwriter is titled “You Get What You Give”. The CD was produced by Steve Sexton (Exchange, Ann Murray). The mixes were done at Metal works and Phase One studios in Toronto, Canada, by world-renowned producer Terry Brown (Rush, Cutting Crew).Strong songwriting, good production and interesting mixes make “You Get What You Give” a solid listen time after time. |
