Artist History
Ollie has been singing since he could speak. He began vocal training, performance, and touring with the American Boychoir School in 1992. Harold Oliver Haughton, affectionately known as Ollie (a derivative of his middle name), was then skyrocketed into the classical and operatic scene, singing solo in Carnegie Hall for Marvin Hamlische's Anatomy of Peace. Among other accolades, Ollie also starred in the world premier of Gian Carlo Mennotti's opera, the Singing Child. Ollie has also done several jingles for Coca-Cola, Kodak, and the Jesus Christ church of latter day saints. After nearly four consecutive years of touring Europe and the US with his choir, singing solos on the today show, and solos on 2 albums released on Angel/Emi records, Ollie decided to write and produce his own contemporary music. Now, at 18 years old, Ollie is building an impressive collection of pop songs written, arranged and produced by him. Ollie’s fresh style and unparalleled fusion of Pop, Hip-hop, and R&B, combined with his strong classical background, brings a completely new sound to the pop music scene. In addition to being a producer/songwriter, Ollie is also an accomplished performer and dancer. Some of Ollie’s musical influences include Jon John Robinson, Dallas Austin, Kristian Lundin, Stevie Wonder, Teddy Riley, Michael Jackson, and Rodney Jerkins. |
