Artist History
The core members of the group have been playing together since 1987. With the help of Eliot Osbourn, who was their former music instructor and also founder of "Project Troubador", they embarked on a tour in Russia in 1992. In 1996, they toured in the Dominican Republic also with "Project Troubador". In 1997, they added more musicians and became "Los Ciegos Del Barrio" since the majority of the group is visually impaired. They played their first show for the "American Red Cross". In 1998, they recorded their first album which was self-titled. In the year 2000, they completed their second album entitled: "No Lo Dude". After several personnel changes, they began performing around New England. They played several festivals including the "Project Troubador Grove Festival" in the summer of 2001 which was held in Lakeville, CT. In 2002, they began working with John Moses playing at several schools in the Northwestern part of Connecticut. They have been played on the radio in New York and New England, and are currently working on a new album which is almost complete now. In fact, a few tracks are now available for listening on this web page. CD's will soon be available here on MP3.com so stay tuned. |
