Artist History
Started a band called "Fantasy" with Tim Edwards in 1974, played one benefit show at Triton College, River Grove, IL. Became a trio with Mark Shearburn on flute and sax a year later. Played at the "Dark Room Coffeehouse" at Triton. Put on a "Fantasy Evening" show in four acts. The Folksinger, that's me, The Jazz Interlude with Mark Shearburn and friends, The Soft-Rock Experience with Tim Edwards and myself and the Encores with members of the audience joining in. Worked with Tim's next band, in 1977, called "Trill" for a year before we played some shows at a local coffeehouse. Had a dream to make a record, so I did. "Growing Old Together" (A Mini Album) five songs on one 7-inch 33 1/3 rpm record, hey it was 1980. Made some demos during the 1980's. Played in a band called "Patswilly" around 1981-82. When "Patswilly" broke up in 1984, some of the members went on to form "Milita". They recorded one of my songs and I video taped many of their shows. During 1985, "Live Aid" made us take a look at doing something on the local level. "Concert For The Kids" became a record and a one day live concert for the benefit The Seguin and Arise schools. Took time off in the 1990's for family. 1999-2000 saw the digital remastering of many reel to reel tapes. It all started with "The Vacant Lot". I began taking old tapes and bringing them back to life. 2001, year one of the rest of our lives. Back to my roots, acoustic guitar and vocal. Been side tracked latley by playing 6 & 12-string in a folk group, Rockfish Crossing. Recent conversations with Mark Shearburn have another project in the mix. Right now I just look forward to playing. With the re-release of "Growing Old Together" on CD I've played a short a living room tour. Working on a live CD from that tour now. 2002 will bring more unplugged living room shows with Rockfish Crossing and some other surprises ...
Stay tuned ... |
