Press Reviews
"The Pieces" is an active deflection of the reality. It is bright and open, easy and objective. Is it provocative? No, it is not so much. Is it easy to listen? No, not easy. The rhythmic illustration of life invites you to find and to look at our everyday activities, which we try not to be aware of. Annoyances that bite us like wasps every day, every hour, sometimes every second, are imitated and present in the pieces. And nevertheless, the album is fun. It rather celebrates life than blames it. It's rather a free walk than sticking to something (as one may stick to despair, distraction, anger or pain). Swami Prem Abhidjat
"A little house": The music of Andrey Volkov often combines an uncombineable. "A little house" is not an exception. Everyone finds there something for himself. Teenager can be attracted by modern rhymes, new age music fan – with unusual tunes and sounds. Even for bored musical critics there could be something to speak about. While listening this music, it's incredibly pleasant to work with the computer (I'm doing it now), or to dance… or to meditate… The author tries to tell us some story, the one from his own universe. He doesn't insist. But if you listen attentively… There are one's memories, both sad and inspiring. There is a religion dance of a spirit in the sands of his own desert. There is a search for the way to escape… and there is longing – longing for future that was never to happen…And there are a lot of jokes. I love it.Swami Jivan Shayar."A little house" The music of Andrey Volkov often combines an uncombineable. "A little house" is not an exception. Everyone finds there something for himself.
