Artist History
Born in Ithaca, New York Sharif Iman moved with his parents to Virginia where he grew up. While majoring in vocal performance and opera at Coker College in South Carolina Sharif honed his distinctive R&B/Rock style gigging up and down the east coast. His bands Manifest Destiny and Swirl played at The Hardrock Cafe and The House Of Blues opening for the likes of Brian McKnight and Veruca Salt.A writing deal at EMI Music Publishing brought him to Nashville in 1999. He went on to win the Next Festival Talent Competition in 2000 and is currently recording his latest batch of scortching R&B flavored rock at The Trackhouse Studios. |
