Artist description Alternative has become such a generic term these days, but it is the nearest broad catagory that can SandPit. Sometimes we rock, sometimes we lament, and we aren't afraid to sound pretty on occasion. I'd say we are just a step away from mainstream, but since maintstream has become this soulless corporate package, I suppose we are firmly rooted outside of the mainstream.

Artist History SandPit began in 1998 with Steven Pitsenbarger and Gabriel Sandino playing open mics in San Francisco.Kathy Buys joined later that year, and Enrique Sepulveda finished out the band in 1999. We have been playing in SF clubs like the Hotel Utah, and the Paradise Lounge for the past year. Our full length CD was released in November of 2000.
