Artist description
Combining some of the darker elements of Metal with a modern psycadelic trance edge, Qui's music is the soundtrack of a comatic dream.Totally disgusted with the pop elements of all genres of the modern music industry, Gabriel creates personal music, be it for fun or for a deeper message. |

Artist History
In the end, it always makes sense.I knew I was no better than them. But that was the point all along. To Create something that could recreate itself. Reverse engineering the universe. That's what Qui was all about. This hole has begun to get to me. Good. I'm buried in a catacomb of my own creation, a labyrinthine series of caves and tunnels that few could navigate without my understanding. You may wonder why I have buried myself beneath the the realm of human perception, beneath the skin of America. Sometimes I wonder, also. I don't really look at it as a separation from society, but a contraction of it. This labyrinth begins out there, where everyone else is seeking to expand, to spread themselves as thin as possible, as the individual insects of human society try to force themselves through life, like so many white mice dancing on electrified plates in some sadistic experiment run by the likes of someone very much like myself. And why? Perhaps, like myself, they don't even understand why they are driven to do the things they do. But I have a gift. I am their opposition. They exist in a world of beauty and ugliness, love and hate. At times I envy them. But I know better. I don't need their prefabricated systems of belief to feel. My emotions are beyond the labels of love or hate or whatever else humans want to call themselves. I remember when I was born. Not the day, or the state that I was in, but the events that led to this. This body, this mind, this life. I remember a place where angels tread.Sitting down in his usual spot on the couch, Fenris pulled off the lid of the butter bowl, revealing it's contents. A prescription bottle and a half full of miscellaneous pills he had gathered over time from miscellaneous sources, two twelve ounce bottles full of liquid bug spray he had emptied out of several cans of Black Flag and Raid, and few razorblades. On the table he had a bottle of paint thinner and a bottle of some type of engine cleaning liquid he had gotten from the closet, along with some Jello mix and a 44 ounce plastic cup. These were the ingredients for death. He had never drank alcohol, and never done drugs, which meant no tolerance for intoxication. He did not take care of himself at all, which meant a body already on the verge of breakdown. Noone could survive the wrath that he was about to unleash on himself.Fenris lifted the sixteen oz. bottle of paint thinner to his nose. He almost gagged. This was what he had brought the Jello mix for. He emptied the bottle into the cup. The engine cleaning fluid didn't smell much better. The label was worn and unreadable, but it had that turpentine/gasoline smell and a faint poison warning on the back. It was a twenty four ounce bottle, but probably only had about eighteen ounces left in it. He poured it in with the paint thinner. This stuff was a syrupy texture, some of it coming out in clumps. He patted the bottom to ensure it was emptied, and then added the Jello mix.Fenris proceeded to open the bottles of insecticide and pills. This would have to be done quickly if it was to be done completely. He lifted the cleanest, least rusted razor, focusing on it intensely for a second. "I see you in there. I know you'll like this one." The face in the razor echoed back that same sick laugh. It struck Fenris a little harder this time. "I'm going to snuff that little grin."He lowered the blade down to his wrist. This time, it was going to go deeper and stretch farther. He slowly increased the pressure, drawing blood. Finally, he felt the 'pop' as the razor poked through his skin. The first time he did this, that had stung a bit. After so many tries, that part was trivial. He paused, took a breath, and pushed harder, until he felt a stinging/aching pain shoot up his arm and part of his chest. The blood was more than a trickle, now. Fenris took another deep breath, and yanked the razor across his wrist. He didn't even flinch, anymore. It still fascinated him, though, seeing his own blood spilling onto the floor. He paused for just a moment to observe, and then proceeded to the right wrist. It caused significant splatter. Fenris was clumsy with his left hand, especially in it's current state. He continued with diagonal slash across each wrist. When he was done, it looked like he had two sevens mirroring each other on his arm.He took a moment to rest. The wounds were starting to sting and itch, and that last cut sprayed blood across the room. He was already growing light headed. Thick, dark, blood pulsed out of his arm, but he wasn't done. He just needed a moment to build the strength in his hands. He reached for the pills and the bug killer. He popped them in his mouth about four or five at a time, washing them down with the insecticide. Whatever taste the pills may have had was destroyed by the nauseating oily foulness of the clear fluid. But Fenris didn't let it deter him. He kept going, and faster, his mind forcing him to finish it as soon as humanly possible.Pills and poison gone, he didn't hesitate in reaching for the deadly punch he had created earlier. He lifted it to his mouth and downed swallow after swallow, not stopping to breathe. The fetid taste of that concoction was reminiscent of piss and gasoline, with a touch of cherry flavored rubbing alcohol. He was done, and he was already weary. Suddenly he felt like he was shrinking to the size of a mouse, and a pulsing feeling of pain and illness swept through his head. His body grew numb and unresponsive. He fell back against the couch, not even caring what the end would bring, only relieved that it was the end.A sharp and sudden pain in his stomach twisted Fenris into convulsions. His body constricted into a tight ball, twitching and jerking in pain. His stomach felt like a wet skin sack, barely containing his liquid innards. He felt like he was going to shit and puke out of every orifice, but he struggled to hold it in. He had to keep the poison inside for as long as possible. It grew to the point where he was no longer in control of his body. He convulsed and jerked, knocking over and smashing into anything in his vicinity. The room was warping, and the lights were pulsing about him. Outside it had begun to rain. The pounding thunder seemed to roll for eternity. The lightning danced about in the clouds, never venturing towards the earth. Finally, in a flash of lightning that that caused the nearby lamp to spark and burn out with the rest of the lights in the house, and with one final convulsion, it stopped. |
