Artist History Art Of Premontion started practicing professionally in the summer of 1994. The line-up of that time consisted of: Daan Westenbrink vocals, Danny Smeink guitar, Arnout Mulder bass and Eddie Smeink drums. After a certain time of rehearsal the four guys presented songs in a complete own style. This style could be defined as a mixture between the American death-metal bands Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, Malevolent Creation and a little Deicide. At the end of '95 Art Of Premonition finally decided to record some of their material. This took place at Frankie's Recording Kitchen. Along with producers Berthus Westerhuis and Ronnie van der Weij AOP created a brutal masterpiece, released on tape, which would make it to Demo Of The Month in the well-known Dutch metalzine Aardschok (former Metal Hammer). The demo is called In State Of Confusion. As a result of this the band received several gigs, some small record-deal offers and more praising reviews. At that time AOP began to realize they needed more guitar volume during their shows. At the beginning of '96 they found Sebastiaan den Oudsten prepared and willing to solve this problem. Three years after recording their first demo-tape the band experienced a minor setback. Vocalist Daan made it clear that he was no longer able to combine his life in Art Of Premonition with his life as a student. In '98 AOP asked friend and Sublustris vocalist Arjaan Kampman to join them. Together with this downright brutal sound-creating monster the band entered the sound studios for the second time. This took place at the QSA-studio's, with producer Vincent Dijkers. Unfortunate for the band, but at the time their material had been reviewed for the second time at metalzine Aardschok they discovered that the column Demo Of The Month did no longer exist. Or else they were to appear in it again for certain. Of course they were very pleased with the promising review they receive. Despite all kinds of positive reactions on their music AOP still haven't reached the big audience yet. A thing the guys most certainly aspire. December '99 Sebastiaan has to leave the band, because he's too busy running a bar. AOP decide to procede with only four members for the time being. Art Of Premonition hope to record some new material in the year 2001. A small adjustment in style can be found in this new material. The band have developed and are now interested in even faster and more varying types of speed.
