Artist History
Guitarist Max Meier and drummer James Pollack have been in a "band" since the fourth grade. That's when what everyone wanted for Christmas was an electric guitar. And they got em!Meier and Pollack formed the band "Munky", with bassist Jay Buban and lead singer Casey Clemens. They played local parties, and school events. Mostly cover songs. After two years with Munky, Meier and Pollack got serious. They wanted to take the music to a higher level, and felt that wasn't going to be accomplished with Clemens' hard rock singing style. So he and Buban were ousted from the band. With the addition of singer Genevieve Schatz, the band aLaRMeD was formed. Schatz's sweet voice, combined with the smooth guitar riffs of Meier and phat beats of Pollack came together to bring an exciting new sound to the Elgin area. aLaRMeD has been together for a short time now, and the threesome has plans to make it big! |
