Press Reviews
From http://www.ruzbury.com Web Site Buzz Review:link : http://scournepal.com/entertainment/main.php?ID=buzz&bzid=2772nd Street is the latest addition to our list of MP3.com artists from Nepal (http://www.mp3.com/72ndStreet). Founded by Anurakta Shrestha, formerly of the bands Mezzo and Urans, Prakash Bajracharya, formerly of Waves, and Roshan Bista, the band is based in Omaha, Nebraska. Having released two singles, "Sara Khushi" and "Gunyo Cholo," the band claims to be working on an album, planned for a release in approximately 5 months. "This will more or less be an experimental album," says Anurakta, " in the sense that it will not have a genre as such because we want to know what kind of music works with the audience." He lists folk, hard rock, and pop as some of the styles that will be featured in the recording. "As a new band, we are also still working with the line-up and looking for talented Nepalese in Nebraska, especially the Omaha/Bellevue area, and hopefully on our second album, we will be working with some fresh voices."Earlier works from the boys can be heard on "Sapanako Saharma," an independent album released by Mezzo, a self-titled album by Waves, of which guitarist Prakash was a part of while in Nepal, and the single "Mayalu Priyeshi" featured on a compilation album titled "Touch Vol. 1." If you're interested in their latest works, however, while the band is working on two more new songs "Chot" and "Nasamjhu",
