Artist description
The two central concepts för the seven-piece band SUPERGODS are swing and improvisation. This might not be a unique combination, but in the hands of SUPERGODS it doesn’t sound quite like anything else. What characterizes the band is that it consists of musicians from different musical backgrounds, like rock, punk and modern dance music (the latter exemplified by Erik Bodin’s explosively acoustic techno drumming) and others with a past primarily in free jazz and noise music. This doesn’t mean that anyone is stuck in any one genre, mind you. The result is a groovy, rowdy, suprising organic entity with full blast power. |
