The Santa Barbara Independentwistful folk-pop, sparsely arranged, gracefully performed, and achingly beautiful to behold -Dennis TiveyLive Magazine Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave and Lou Reed, all wound up in a tight little ball... -Martin BrownThe OregonianDeeble delivers his intriguing songs in a fashion both smart and eclectic - Kyle O’brianCoast WeeklyThis is the kind of music where you got to get jacked up on caffeine, prick up your ears and pay attention to the lyrics so you can talk about what it all means when the last chord fades and you’re left alone with the brown-eyed girl across the table... Strike Anywhere/Fuel - For fans of the new moody songwriters like Jeremy Enigk in SunnyDay or Dave Bazan in Pedro the Lion this album will be an essential purchase - Chris EsteyOC Weekly Deeble freaked everybody out when he started bringing tympani, gongs, cellos, and whatever the hell that freaky, phallic-looking thing Chris Hanlin was picking on... by the time the band went into “Earthside Down,” the exquisite title tune from Deeble’s new CD, everyone had come around to his wonderfully done, heart-wrenching tunes. -RKaneThe CommuniqueA huge credit to record label Jackson Rubio, not watered down for the sake of mass accessibility. -Paul Soupian |
