Artist description
Brother-sister duo from Liverpool, England. They perform traditional folk music from England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Their music blends intricate vocal harmonies with open guitar tunings unique to English traditional folk music. Their repertoire includes ballads, sea shanties, and humorous songs of their own devising. In keeping with the family singing tradition, they perform many songs a capella. Both Wild is accompanied by Portland cellist, Jim Smith. |

Artist History
Both Wild moved to Portland, Oregon in 1994. At a fortuitous gig at Portland's Rose and Thistle Pub, the Wilds met cellist, Jim Smith. Both Wild performed at a variety of venues around Oregon, as well as numerous festivals throughout the US. They are scheduled to perform at the 29th Alaska Folk Festival in Juneau April 13th 2002 and at NorthWest Folklife on Sat May 25th, 2002. Look out for them at Portland's Alberta Street Public House. |
