Artist description Beats Workin' are Kev, Mark and Gerry.They were working musicians, doing gigs and sessions for a living, independently of each other. Thrown together by chance on a session for another artist ,they chatted in between takes andrecognised a musical affinity that was too valuable to go to waste. They arranged to get together,with a basic writing and recording set-up, to play around with a few ideas.The musical chemistry was immediate and so strong that they recorded songs as soon as they were written, using only 2 keyboards, 2 guitars, an 8-track cassette multi-track and a basic drum machine. In a little over a week they had recorded 8songs which reflected the spontaneity and freshness of their song-writing and these can beheard on their first album release "Take One".
