Artist History
I've been involved with music to a certain extent for almost as long as I can remember. In high school I was briefly involved in a synth-pop type band, didn’t amount to anything. It wasn’t till college that my interest in electronic music reemerged. As one of my electives I took a music theory class, fortunately I had been exposed to all the basic concepts (years of private lessons). I was hooked, especially to the almost rigid approach traditional harmony imposes. It still amazes me how logical (nearly mathematical) Western music can be, listen to Bach or some of the other baroque period composers. Sound design is another area I'm very interested in. I just love subtractive synthesis. So you tie all these together and you get a project called Aequus. |
