Artist History
Randy was raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina playing country and bluegrass music. He learned the roots of this music from an early age playing bands at venues ranging from late night festivals to early morning revivals.After college, Randy spent two years in Las Vegas with the US Air Force. This opportunity gave him the experience of playing bars and casinos. His next move took him to England. he traveled throughout the south of England performing with a country trio for two years until his separation from the service.Randy remained in England and eventually formed the bluegrass band Southern Exposure. After six years together, they successfully recorded, produced, toured and promoted their CD "Small Town." While in Europe, Randy worked with such talents as Allison Krauss, Mark O'Connor, Tim O'Brien, Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum and Sugarbeat. |
