Artist History I am a 21-year-old singer/songwriter from Liverpool. I have always been captivated by music from a very early age. My inspiration for music first started when I played my first musical instrument the recorder, playing this instrument gave me my first taste of reading and writing basic level music. My singing ambition came later on when I was chosen to represent my Junior School in a local choir, this lead to me taking up the guitar and singing in a local church until I moved onto high school where I also participated in the choir until I was 16. The whole songwriting concept took place in the year 2001 when I wrote ''I Can See You (Watching Me)''. Before this I had been providing vocals for another music composer on MP3.com for over a year and received many comments from fans expressing their love of my vocal input. This was a big boost for my self esteem and from then on having the confidence that I could really make it big one day finally put me back on track to being more focused and determined on attaining the dream that had be locked up inside me of having a successful music career, it all then took off from here. It wasn't just that event that pushed me to make music. I'd always had music with me through living and being brought up in such a musical city. My passion for music just needed to be ignited. I have the ambition and drive to succeed, and my multi talents of being able to write, perform and arrange music along with having the right image. I believe provides me a cutting edge in the music industry. I want to give the world a taste of music that I myself feel passionate about. My first song ''I can see you (watching me)'' was released on MP3.com in February 2001. I was extremely nervous at this time since I didn't know what people's reactions would be. To my amazement I managed to jump from rank 513 to number 8 in the club chart within a matter of 5 days of joining mp3.com. And received over 500 e-mails, some written by very talented artists asking whether they could do remixes of my song. Now knowing that people like my music it gives me the burning desire to write and produce more and more which I have been doing. I am a person who works hard and believes that you only get out of life what you put into it, and that dreams can only come true if you are willing to work hard at attaining your goal. The trick is to stay focused, believe in yourself and turn any negative energy that is thrown your way into positive energy. Having these types of beliefs makes me a stronger person and makes me feel as though I can conquer the world with my music, which at present is the goal I am now completely focused on. My dream like a lot of musician's is to be famous, hopefully the endless days and long nights I spend eating and sleeping music will one day pay off making my dream come true.
