The opening of this recording conjures images of an apocalyptic world, where the earth is shrouded in post-atomic darkness. Musikuntermalung is a dark and provocative recording, very minimalist in nature, and takes the listener on a ride through a dark netherworld, perhaps the dark side of life. There’s actually a bit of a Hypnos sound to this recording, or perhaps it’s more like the work of M. Griffin, or some of Richard Bone’s darker, more minimalist tracks. Whatever Geoff’s doing… works!
