Press Reviews
"Musical Nature is the pseudonym for Geoff Varosky’s experimental ambient project- a project that is very dark and could almost pass for ambient-noir. The opening of this recording conjures images of an apocalyptic world, where the earth is shrouded in post-atomic darkness. Musikuntermalung is a dark and provocative recording, very minimalist in nature, and takes the listener on a ride through a dark netherworld, perhaps the dark side of life. There’s actually a bit of a Hypnos sound to this recording, or perhaps it’s more like the work of M. Griffin, or some of Richard Bone’s darker, more minimalist tracks. Whatever Geoff’s doing… works! With Musikuntermalung, Geoff takes the listener on a thoughtful journey through the sonic underworld, exploring dark overtones, and capturing a blissful atmospheric state. I believe that you can purchase a version of this at Geoff’s Mp3.com site, http://www.mp3.com/musical_nature, but I know that you can get a copy of this excellent recording from his by visiting his Musical Nature site, http://www.musicalnature.com. Another highly recommended recording, from an up and coming artist, pick it up the first chance you get!"- Matt Borghi - The Organization of Sound |
