Artist History "The High School Football Heroes dress like an emo band, have the stage presence of a Hardcore band and play punk/ska music...what more could you want?" - WPOB FM A little over a year after bursting onto the Long Island Scene the High School Football Heroes have managed to make quite a name for themselves. The High School Football Heroes, since their first show on March 9, 2001, have played along side many great bands some of which include: Thursday, Catch 22, Midtown, Brand New, Big D and the Kids Table, Taking Back Sunday, From Autumn To Ashes, River City Rebels, Hot Rod Circuit, Autopilot Off, The Starting Line, Most Precious Blood, On The Might Of Princes, Sky Came Falling, The Reunion Show and the Toasters. The band also distributed over 1,500 copies of there original cd "HSFH - Demo 2K1" and have just released a much more mature release a split e.p. entitled "¡Viva La Rock!", but the High School Football Heroes don't plan on stopping here. The band is currently playing about 2-3 shows each weekend and is planning a tour of the East Coast. The High School Football Heroes have also begun work on an upcoming album. Sometime around December of the year 2000 the High School Football Heroes formed with Brian Crozier on Guitar, Joe Masterson playing drums, Dave Solomon on Trombone and Vocals, and Jason Rutcofsky on Sax. Shortly afterwards Chris Askin joined the band on bass guitar. The band spent countless hours writing and practicing their songs. Soon after playing their first show the band decided they should go out and look for another singer to compliment Dave. After searching long and hard the High School Football Heroes found George Argyrou. George fit perfectly with the band he manged to give the band a new found front-man along with helping an already insane live show. Since then the band has been playing as many shows as they possbly can and don't plan on stopping any time soon. So come on out to a show...go nuts..and ¡Viva La Rock!
