Artist History
In the summer of 1999 four musicians came together in Dublin to form a Hot Blues and Roots combo.Dermot Byrne (vocals guitar ) had gained wide respect for his interpretation of blues music and as a prolific songwriter.Paul Miller(piano keyboards) had toured extensively in Ireland and Europe playing blues, boogie and jazz. The solid rhythms of Paul Byrne(bass) and seasoned drummer Tim Creedon completed the line up.The bands influences ranged from the boogie rhythms of Jimmy Reed, to the delta styles of Son House and Willie JohnstonAfter doing some festival gigs in Ireland the band began to record a cross section of songs from the live set. The album “Lonesome to the Bone” recorded throughout the year 2000 brings together 14 tracks by Ireland’s hottest blues and roots combo. |
