Artist History
Delirium Rising was formed in early 2000 when singer Brian Frey and drummer Jeff Crawford met up and tried out Alex Piehl as guitarist. Alex was easily accepted and after going through countless numbers of bassists, the lineup became set when one of Alex's former bandmates Jon Wagener joined the lineup. Delirium Rising played a few shows until Alex Piehl left the band after several verbal confrontations with Brian and a complete disastisfaction of the band's direction. The band tried to continue on without Alex, but fell apart. For months Alex and Jon tried to develop new musical projects, but failed to find dedicated members. Then in November of 2001, the singer from the Toledo band Velvet Sleep left and joined Alex, Jon, and Brian on their musical pursuit. This created Swampgoat. |
