Artist History
Excerpts from an Interview with David Gielan
By Richard Evans
…”I think people will really have an affinity to my music, it’s the kind that’s close to home. This is the fifth record I‘ve slapped together and I think everyone on the team has been really excited about this release.”, he says. “When I started this project, I really didn’t have a notion of where we were headed, but with some reservation, we went in a whole new direction.” I also wanted to find out about the unusual title of his latest work.
“…I think its come together quite nicely. The reason I named this record CINCOFADED is because my friends and I recorded this record in five blurry and furious days, working late and partying even later. I definitely had to give it up to Georgetown for having a halfway decent bar scene and friends on every stool.” David was living in Georgetown, in Washington DC during the production process was going on…
“…. so excited about the creation of the website and I looked at it last week and was really impressed. It came together quite nicely. The best part is we kept it in the family and my sister has amazing vision. My whole family are a bunch of techies, …even I worked as a Network Engineer for a computer company before I went on tour with Gizmo. …. and thanks to all the cool katz who hit up the site…”
