    Artist description
The story of this cryptic work of art begins in May of the year 2000 at Ravioli's new apartment. When the initial walk-through of the apartment commenced, Ravioli and his estranged roommate Tim-Job were in the hopes of creating a studio environment in which to record future musical endeavors. Later, it was discovered that the redneck upstairs neighbors objected to the loud music from the basement where the ancient octopus-like furnaces channeled all of the sound throughout the house. In a half-hearted attempt to conform and be cooperative we agreed to use only our electronic gear, no live acoustic drums, no amps, no loud screaming. All in an effort to let Ms. Redneck hear Pat Sajak. So after walking around the local Wegman's grocery store, in the search of the wild African frosted donut holes, they decided to take charge, look forward, and eat a few Star Crunches. That evening they went home. Ravioli's PA system for his Ronaldo Electronic TD-7 drums could shake the house. Teamed up with Big Show's Signature Carvin 2x12 combo amp and Jesus' Bass Rig O' Fury consisting of a Crate BX-50, a Peavy TKO-50, an ancient Echo-Tech tape echo and a bass cord. Before long, the drunken lady from the north came down in the hopes of interrupting this Jam session. Their nights of listening to the northern neighbors stomp on the floor at one in the morning were about to be redeemed. Up went the volume and BAMM and BIGGTY BAM, BOOM SHUCKA LUCKA. A day passed by in a haze, then the recording on ArsNova 2 began. This time they would use no Amps, no acoustic drums, just them, headphones and the black-light. Over the course of 3 days, they recorded 3 DAT tapes full of annoying Jam material. Over the course of the next week Ravioli and Big Show sat down and chose parts out, edited, arranged, and fooled with the tunes to come to a full CD worth of Jelly. There are notable songs on the disc such as the Arsnovian Fugue, which was a full 20-minute piece, which was cut into 3 movements, Black Hole/Lost In a Dream which was recorded before a live studio audience and Zenith which takes you traveling through space at light speed, with your window open, when you realize that you left your wallet back at home on your nightstand. Since the album was recorded, ArsNova was evicted once again. However, visit the ArsNova Site and check out the 360-degree picture of our studio. You will even get a look at the BigShow working on a Transformer!
