Artist History Formes in late January 1996 when Rhino and Troy met at a Super Bowl party. Troy was on his second solo album and had begun jam sessions with acquaintances and invited The Rhino over to jam. The four got together and had a great time jamming. The four decided to name the group "Toxik Korn" Tension arose and one person was asked to leave, another going with him. After talking and meeting at The Rhino's apartment the two decided to forge on as a 2 piece. A change of name was in order. After tossing around several ideas they came up with "H8RED". Negative feedack was recieved about the name and thus the "The Jinxx'd" was born. Following sessions produced the tunes "I Don't Care", "Go Away" and "So Blue". After that they had to see if they could write together. With no material previously written, St. Jacques came up with the riff for "Insomnia", he added more to it and The Rhino sat behind the drum set with a notepad writing lyrics . By the end of the night the two had written what they knew to be a classic. Their 1st CD - "Smelly Cat" - was completed in 1996. The 2nd CD - "Degeneration Jinxx'd" was completed in 1998. Next, "The Jinxx'd" they recorded an album of cover songs entitled "Under the Influence". This was never release but some of the songs were used as bonus tracks on the band's 2000 effort - "A Drinking Band With A Metal Problem". This features the hit single "If I Killed Your Boyfriend...". At the CD release party for friends and family, as fate would have it,two future band members were in the crowd - a bass player by the name of Matt Wilder and a young drummer by the name of Sly Bitetto. After e-mails and phone calls were exchanged among the members and a gig was lined up at a UNH party - the new lineup of The Jinxx'd got together to rehearse songs. The boys have been together since. Now that you know the legend of "The Jinxx'd".
