Artist description
St. Martin of Tours Choir is a church choir from the Roman Catholic parish of St. Martin of Tours in the arch-diocese of Toronto. Along with singing at the weekly Sunday masses, the choir performs an annual Christmas concert, participates in regional music festivals, and has made guest performances in Canada, the United States, and Ireland. Although there is a common theme of spirituality in all of ther pieces, the musical styles explored are wide ranging and include classical, contemporary, southern gospel, celtic, African, folk, blues, rock and new age. |

Artist History
The choir, along with it's namesake church, had it's infancy in the mid-1970s. It has been under the direction of Fergus P. Egan for the last 25 years. In that time, the choir has released three albums - one on vinyl, one on casette, and one on compact disc. All three recordings are available for purchase directly from the choir. There are many singers and musicians that form St. Martin of Tours Choir, not least of which is musical director Fergus P. Egan. In addition to singing, playing guitar and directing the choir, Mr. Egan writes and/or arranges many of the pieces which the choir performs. |
