Press Reviews
While you might note Karen has kept a real traditional fiber to hold her music together, she continues to explore life in the here and now. What is most impressive about listening to Karen... is how captivated you allow yourself to become in her storytelling. Familiar in the sense that you can relate to what she is telling you, she is always turning new corners and keeping your sights on a new horizon. And while you might be able to place her in the same peer group as modern artists with similar voices, like Tori Amos or Natalie Merchant, she carves out enough unique sound to be "Karen Walters" all the way. Pure American culture. -- Craig Chaddock / thumbwave.com |
