Artist description
Featherweight is focused on breaking the mold of Christian rock bands with well written songs and powerful performances. The band realizes that this statement has been made many times before which is why they say, “listen for yourselves and you tell us.” Featherweight performs high-energy rock and power pop music to audiences in clubs and festivals everywhere. “We focus on integrity in our music and the way we present our Faith to audiences,” says bassist Chad Curtis, “we show our passion for God through our actions, lyrics, and music. We make sure that people come away from our shows knowing our hearts.” |

Artist History
Featherweight has been performing and recording together for over 4 years now. With 2 self released EPs in their repetoir and a whole slew of unrecorded songs it's only natural that they were ready to record their next highly anticipated album. Featherweight is currently shopping their latest release, “Most of the Moment”, to record labels and booking agents with their manager, Brian Spirito, and producer, Rick May. This is the band’s third CD release and contains their latest songwriting efforts. Featherweight worked hard during the winter of 2000 with Rick May to present the best possible recording to represent their artistic and spiritual direction. “We work hard on our music as it is a representation of our passion for our Christian Faith,” explains vocalist/guitarist, Seth Bond. “I write with the listener in mind, wanting him/her to know my dedication to the music God has given me and to my own personal walk with Him. We want to stand out as Christians and as a band with integrity while following God’s will as far as He wishes to lead us.” Featherweight is working toward several goals for 2001. They are currently searching for a recording agreement and booking agent to forward their career. Copies of “Most of the Moment” have been sent to festival planners, rock clubs, concert promoters, and youth pastors to begin booking for 2001. After 4 years of performing together, Featherweight is excited about the next phase of their career as God leads them into a full time music ministry. |
