Artist History
Eric Howard could be comparedto many different artists today. Hehas the acoustic-folk sensibility of Nick Drake and the heavy/acoustic sound of Days of The New, while maintaining a strong emotional hold on the listener. Eric started his music career early at the age of 15 in the Christian rock band Yesterday Gone. From there Eric continued on to form the groundbreaking band Mindsize. His writting and performance skills were strengthened through his experiences in both bands. However, with limited success in all his ventures, Eric became discouraged with the Christian music scene and withdrew. After a time of prayer and longing to make music again Eric was offered an opportunity to play in the band Zeal. The group recorded the well recieved EP entitiled Out of My Darkness which included several songs written by Eric. Zeal gained some regional success, but due to many reasons the band never left their regional circuit and came to a halt. Now with years of experience under his belt, the new seasoned Eric wants to bring his origional music to the world. Eric's musical influences measure across the board with the likes of heavy/emotional groups (Stavesacre, A Perfect Circle), alternative/pop music (Poor Old Lu, Counting Crows), and many acoustic driven groups/singers (Jewel, Waterdeep). |
