Artist description Our purpose is to play a pure and classic Punk Rock sound, just like Pistols and Ramones. We also include some modern elements to our music, which makes us sound a little like RATM.

Artist History SHULT was born in 1997 when two addicted to music friends (Luciano and Rodrigo) decided to form a band. Luciano already knew how to play guitar and they started to play with a drummer (Armando) and a bassist (Kadu), who also used to play on another band (Dark Out). On the beginning we only played covers, of Ramones, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Nirvana and others, we were just having fun. By the end of ´99 a second guitarist (PH) joined the band, but we were still doing covers. The year 2000 was very confused on SHULT´s history: Luciano and Kadu became fathers and couldn´t get time for the band. Kadu got out of the band (also of Dark Out, where he used to play before) and Perereca took his place. While that, Luciano and PH made some musics and Rodrigo wrote some lyrics in English. The band decided to play only Punk Rock: Ramones, Sex Pistols, Misfits, Garotos Podres, Bad Religion… By the end of 2000 a goal was established: to record a demo as soon as possible. So, all members got the band for serious and the result is Stupid Rock. The lyrics are in English because it´s a little easier to write in this language. Our next recording (a CD if everything goes right) will have lyrics in Portuguese, also because Rodrigo doesn´t speak English… :-) A little before we recorded the demo PH had to leave the band because of personal issues, promising to come back as soon as he can. To give us a help Marcos, Perereca´s brother, occupied PH´s place.
