    Artist History
Fire in the Radio is a quartet hailing from State College, Pennsylvania. Conceived in the spring of 2000, Fire in the Radio set out to solidify the reason why music should be created in the first place. It is for the process of collectively coming together to make art. In the case of Fire in the Radio, it is not a singular vision, but one that is shared and elaborated upon by each member. Collectively writing in the living room of his college house, Rich Carbone along with Jonathan Miller, Ed Olsen and Adam Caldwell developed ten songs that comprise their debut, “RedStaticAction”, which was released by Wednesday Records on November 15th, 2000.

More indie-rock for your sweet tooth. This is melodic up beat indie rock with super distorted thick guitars. Simple softer vocals that works really nicely. Catchy sing along type music that people will be really into. It's a cross between Weston in the early days and mid-western style indie-rock like Braid. The kids love this kind of stuff...Slide The NeedleEmotastic. Very mellow, but rockin' indie punk rock music. Not too soft, not too hard, just right. Ten tracks of emo pleasure. It reminds me a Penfold, Sense Field, or a Harder version of Jimmy Eat World, one song reminds me of the Get Up Kids. Tons of Talent here. If you like emo music, GET THIS! It has everything you need in an emo CD. Great Sound Quality and Production.PA PUNK!What I really get from Fire in the Radio's debut album is the sense that this band is young and has an immense amount of talent. Just listen to those first two tracks. They're not picking up emo cliches and running with them, but they are making powerful and emotional rock songs that really get me excited. Such a thing usually bodes incredibly well for the band's next release, and I know I'll be eagerly anticipating it - that is, if they're not signed to some major label who likes the other half of the album.Delusions of Adequacy
