Classy, heavy American Metal. Wraith is a band that stays true to their roots, yet has given their music a feel & seriousness that keeps their music palatable in todays resurging "true" metal scene. The music of Wraith is free of trapping cliche's that many bands are forcing upon themselves. This is no retro act! Look for the bands debut album, "Dark Gifts", on Progressive Arts Music soon.

    Artist History
“When time is still and the earth does sit, it will be then that Wraith gives its Dark Gift” (Joseph Alexander Wraith)Florida has become quite well known for its metal. Now out of the southern part of the state comes a new contender in the form of a powerful five piece known as WRAITH.Formed in 1998, WRAITH has been steadily building upon their reputation as one of the top live acts in the area. A tough feat considering the area is saturated with Korn clones and bass music. Progressive Arts Music discovered the band in 1999 and quickly offered them a deal as we saw that something special was truly there. In March of 2000 the band began recording their debut album, “Dark Gifts”, at the Tone Factory in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. From the driving power of “Season Of The Witch” to the crunching groove of “Hammer”, “Dark Gifts” will be sure to excite. “Dark Gifts” is expected to be released in the Summer/Fall of 2001 and a tour sometime thereafter, so be sure to keep your eye’s open.

    Press Reviews
"WRAITH has a vocalist / frontman that immediately recalls some of the great voices og the genre, including D.C. Cooper and Ian Perry. But, luckily for us, Joseph Alexander did not dominate and let him support his band with poise. WRAITH's brand of European influenced Power Metal was quite satisfying. Hailing from Florida, WRAITH have just signed with Progressive Arts Music and will have their debut in stores soon. With two guitarists who can shred and judicious amounts of keyboards, it sounds like Wraith have it together and are prepared to conquer the metal world."Review of the bands performance at POWERMAD 2000 in Baltimore, Maryland.Review by Christopher J.
