Artist History Mike Gustafson (the Autumn project) has been a musician of 12 years, beginning with guitar, Mike quickly moved on to explore other worlds, drums, bass and vocal work. In late 1998 Mike built his project studio, theZu audio productions and with the aid of digital gear and creativity, Mike created the present Autumn project. Mike began recording what he knew... pop songs, giving birth to "dancing in these shadows". Mike's second record "thesecondsuspension" evolved his ambient stylings and Mike realized that there are many spaces to explore. the Autumn project's sound then went beyond vocal treatements and has stayed in the instrumental realm ever since. Mike does intend on doing more vocal records but for the time being, "we are exploring the complete unknown here...". During the release of the Autumn project's Limited Editions with label ZURECORDS two "new" members have been put into the mix of the project. John and Jess Huffman (bros.) collaberated in on the release of the Autumn project's "La Salle" record. "I can not see jumping into any new projects without these two, the creativity and improv skills we have as a group are unreplaceable." Mike Gustafson. Mike will continue releasing his own solo works through the ZURECORDS label under the Autumn project moniker.
