Artist description
"Street of Crocodiles is an improvising trio led by bassist Reuben Radding, a recent transplant to the Northwest from the New York scene. He has worked with John Zorn, Marc Ribot, Elliott Sharp, Roy Campbell, Andrea Parkins, and many others. Also in the group are multi-reedist Greg Sinibaldi, who plays frequently with the Degenerate Art Ensemble, the Emerald City Jazz Orchestra, and his own trio, and metal percussionist Eveline Mueller-Graf, who also has played with UnFolkus, Laura Love, Wally Shoup, Dennis Rea, Amy Denio, Eric Muhs, and Susie Kozawa. She co-founded the Seattle Chainsaw Ensemble and built her own percussion rack, 'the Boeing,' so named because the majority of the parts used to be, or were meant to be, flying in the air. The group's music is a subtle, acoustic mixture of texture and twisted melodics, constantly questioning the traditional function of its players' instruments, and rejecting the constraints of genre. In a recent Seattle performance, the group played alongside the rare film 'Spectre of the Rose' to enthusiastic response." |
