Artist History
The skycam story starts in New York City in 2000, when Trevor Bajus (guitar, vocals), Joe Schorn (guitar, vocals), Denise Finnegan (organ, bass, key bass, vocals), and Rajanikanth "Reg" Tanikella (drums) decided to get together and make some noise. Trevor and Reg's band Volley had just split up, and Joe and Denise were looking for something new following the demise of Jack Deluxe. It turned out to be a perfect fit.
Fans have reportedly heard traces of Bedhead, Luna, Neil Young, and Yo La Tengo in the tightly interlocking guitars, pulsating organ, and syncopated drums. But give the band and close listen and let your own ears be your guide.
In 2000, the band recorded their demo "you'll never know how close you came," and has been playing regularly in New York City ever since. The band just finished a new 5-song EP, "minutes into days" which is scheduled to be released December 2001.
