Artist History
Formed in 1982 by brothers Vis and Scott Helland. One of the first hardcore bands to come out of the Western Massachusetts area. Bass player Scott Helland was also in the seminal western mass hardcore band Deep Wound with J. Mascis and Lou Barlow. Outpatients existed for 13 years, released 7 albums and were known for their highly energetic/crazed live shows. Outpatients fused ahardcore punk sound with metallic influences. They played with punk bands of the day such as: Black Flag, G.B.H., Husker Du, C.O.C, Crucifix,Cro-Mags, S.S.D., Melvins, Gang Green, Agnostic Front, 7 Seconds, Vatican Commandos, Murphy's Law,Necros and more! |
