Artist History
Mona For Now formed 4 years ago in the jungle of Hollywood,
California. This four piece hard rock band consisting of
Sheila Gonzalez on vocals, Fabian Ruiz on guitar, Liza
Sanchez on bass and Rich Pancani on drums can be best
described as loud and aggressive with sickening energy.
Their many accomplishments include 2nd place winner in The
2001 Battle of the Bandas. The contest sponsored by “La
Banda Elastica”, Paiste, Shure and SWR hosted 20 bands which
were selected out of more than 60 entries. The song “Sick
in 5 Seconds” from their first demo “Mouth” can be heard in
the motion picture “Soul Survivors” released by Artisan
Pictures.
For their 2nd demo, a 5 song CD entitled “33”, the band shot
a video for the single “Lucy” which was aired on the local
band show PVT (UPN Channel 13) in Los Angeles, IMNTV (the
web) and the g-man show (public access).
The year 2001 saw Mona for Now building their fan base by
taking their energetic live show as far away as San Juan,
Puerto Rico. Currently the band has completed their 4th
full length CD entitled “Is Anyone Here Alive?” which is out
in stores. With new songs in tow and the passion of their
live show they will without a doubt continue to blow
audiences away and leave them wanting more.
